Joseph Cheatham, a 75-year-old White male from Tallahassee, Florida, was reported missing on November 30, 2025 after last being seen in the 7100 block of Atascadero Lane wearing a light blue long-sleeved button-up shirt and khaki pants. He is described as 5'4" tall with brown eyes and a goatee, and he may have been driving a 2018 gray Honda Accord with Florida license plate IRXT38. A Florida Purple Alert was issued by FDLE around December 2, 2025. On the morning of December 8, 2025, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office announced Cheatham was found deceased inside his vehicle in the Bass Pro Shops parking lot in Tallahassee; authorities indicated no foul play is suspected and the Purple Alert was canceled.
