π Description
Kevin 'Bear' Henry, a 37-year-old Indigenous person who uses gender-neutral pronouns, disappeared November 27, 2021 while en route to the Fairy Creek old-growth logging blockade on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. After surviving for 74 days in remote forest with minimal food (beans, rice, occasional cat food) and melting snow, Henry was spotted on February 9, 2022 by two Gemini Logging fallers on a logging road near Lake Cowichan. The loggers transported Henry to a Tim Hortons in Lake Cowichan and provided money for food. Henry had sustained injuries and significant weight loss but survived and subsequently spoke publicly about the ordeal.

Indigenous, two-spirit, gender-neutral pronouns. Approximately 6'3" tall, about 300 pounds (heavy build). Short brown hair, green eyes. Historically observed wearing skirts and leggings; described as having a serious back injury and being homeless at the time of the recovery.
