Regarding the "Manitoba footage" (Norway House,MB,CA 04/05):This database contains statements directly from eyewitnesses. In the case of the Manitoba footage, Bobby Clarke was the eyewitness. Although he has done a few interviews, Bobby has never written up his own story and submitted it to anyone. That's why a report mentioning the Manitoba footage has not appeared in this database heretofore. Many people still ask about the footage though, and wonder why the BFRO site does not say anything about it in the Manitoba section. We only want to hear the story from the people involved - the local witnesses. They need to tell their stories, in their own words, in writing, and submit those to us through this web site. Any sightings, track finds, etc., on the Norway House Reserve should be sent in. We won't talk about the activity much otherwise. That's our policy.The fact that Bobby Clarke has not yet written up his story is understandable, for a few reasons:Bobby wasn't trying to get footage of a sasquatch. He filmed something odd near his work site and showed it to his family. Others in the community came by to see it and started telling others. That's how it came to the attention of the media. Bobby didn't try to promote it himself.Bobby did not like the furor of attention. He did not ask for it. It frustrated him.He did not earn six figures from the footage. It was licensed to ACA for two airings, for only four figures.Bobby did not like the stress. He didn't appreciate the attitudes that he was dropping the ball somehow. He greatly disliked like being accused of hoaxing or chicanery by outsiders who never met him. All told, Bobby would naturally be unenthusiastic about writing a detailed statement (at least at this point in his life), which might only serve to stoke up more frustration for him.We'll be more than happy to post his story as soon as he is willing to tell his story.
