π Description
I was driving with my brother in the Dunrobin area west of Ottawa at about 11:00 PM in 1984 looking for a place to set up his new telescope. We drove slowly down a semi-deserted dirt road looking for a good spot when my brother suddenly got creeped out and told me "I have a bad feeling". I just laughed, but he was insistent, so I started to back up slowly looking for a place to turn. Suddenly, my brother shouted and I looked ahead at a large primate like animal walking towards the side of the car. It looked to be about 7 feet tall, well built with flat, unkept black hair that hung down from its shoulders and arms like sloth hair. It looked dirty. The moment it looked at us, I panicked, hit the accelerator and drove backwards at highway speed for a mile. It was amazing we didn't crash. Anyway, that's my story. One one hand, I wish I'd stayed a little longer to better understand what we were looking at, but then again, I'm not too sure I wouldn't react the exact same way today. I'm sure these thing are seen a lot more than reported. I don't tell people in general because they just burn me at the stake. Someday, I hope someone will get one of these on good quality video so we can all say "I told you so".
